Techtel debuts insyght: making ST 2110 media discovery easy

Sydney, Australia — 06 July 2026 Techtel announced today the official launch of insyght™, a powerful new product designed for organisations working with live uncompressed video over IP (ST 2110) who want easier access to their content.

As distributed production workflows and remote operations continue to become the norm, providing easy access to high-bandwidth ST 2110 content has never been more important. With most professional live production now operating over uncompressed IP, how do you connect these incredibly high bandwidth video sources to production teams who expect access from everywhere? This was the challenge that inspired the creation of insyght.

insyght makes ST 2110 video simple to monitor, process and repurpose, using nothing more than a web browser.  It automatically discovers IP video streams on the network, enabling users to create individual pipelines or centralise multiple pipeline outputs into customised multiview dashboards.

Operator dashboards feature multiviewer-style UMD, world clocks, audio meters and video sources from the pipelines.  What’s unique about insyght is it generates multiviewers directly from ST 2110 sources and publishes to a URL. This means anyone with a network connection can view and share the low latency streams and dashboards, instantly, from virtually anywhere.  Whether you’re making singular pipelines or multiviewers in a dashboard, the publish point is a configurable and independent URL. Published URLs can be embedded into third party dashboards such as Grafana, Splunk and Kibana.

Low latency was essential in the development of insyght. Even though the publish point is a standard web browser, the latency from source to screen is remarkably low, just over one-tenth of a second!

What’s more, users with high network bandwidth will love how insyght’s compute server leverages a range of different network speeds from 25-400 Gbps, allowing it to aggregate and process high volumes of uncompressed streams simultaneously.

Techtel Software Products Manager Peter Stevens said:

“At Techtel, we see IP video continuing to evolve; the market is calling for more solutions that unlock the true potential of using commoditised IT infrastructure to access, monitor and produce their content. Insyght is purpose built to help with this problem. Using COTS hardware enables us to bridge traditional IT and broadcast domains providing simple access to specialised environments. What is exciting is that leveraging COTS enables us to harness high performance hardware, delivering greater compute density on a smaller hardware footprint.”
