Ross Video OverDrive v7 released
Ross Video unveiled its version 7 software for the OverDrive automated live production control system at NAB 2008. Ross distributors in Australia are excited about the new features this brings, particularly its application for news, sports and live event production, including worship.
Ren Middleton, Techtel Sales Manager says “The new and improved software will increase the power and flexibility of the OverDrive system by adding MOS integration for graphic and video server systems, enhanced client/server architecture, and will ease the integration of sideCar, a new compact remote control panel.”
Additional new features include multiple user-programmable timers, preview custom controls and the ability to enable or disable remote control of mixers or robotic cameras on-the-fly.
“OverDrive version 7 software adds yet another level of unique features and enhancements to the market-leading production control system,” says Brad Rochon, Marketing Product Manager of OverDrive Automated Production Control.
Rochon continues, “With over 80 systems delivered world-wide, OverDrive version 7 incorporates feedback from a wide variety of customers. The new features we have introduced ensure that OverDrive users are at the leading edge of automated production control.”
OverDrive is a flexible and scalable production control system with a real-time LiveLink MOS interface to the newsroom editorial system. The extensive device control capabilities of the Synergy SD and MD production switchers combined with OverDrive provides users with the ability to execute a more consistent, efficient and sophisticated news production.
